I have built my professional life around my personal belief that Tucson and Pima County represent the very best of Arizona and its people. My Dad, a retired copper minor from upstate New York and my Mom, a U.S. Postal service employee from Scottsbluff, Nebraska – both shared this belief when they chose to raise their Family in Tucson. I was born and raised here, a Native Tucsonan through and through. I attended TUSD schools and Graduated as Valedictorian from Catalina Magnet High School where I also earned my Private Pilot’s License. As a proud Arizona Wildcat, I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2011 with a B.A. in both Sociology and Political Science. It was also there that I first became active in the Democratic Party, having since served as Treasurer of the former LD 29 before moving on to Chair LD 10. I have served on the Board of the Arizona Democratic Party in addition to volunteering as Treasurer of our County Party. In December of 2013 I accepted a position in the Ward 3 office of Council Member Karin Uhlich serving as Policy Director for Transportation and Public Safety issues. This work has also given me a unique perspective on the challenges that we face as Southern Arizonans, and I’ve seen firsthand how our values and priorities as Southern Arizonans are often affected by the Legislature. It is essential that we are represented by someone who understands our region and values. I believe I am the best candidate to fulfill that duty, and I will fulfill it honestly, faithfully and at all times with our values in mind.
